Honorary Member of the Bar
Francis METZGER has held honorary status since January 1, 2026.
He was a partner in the Muschel–Metzger Association, established on March 1, 1976.
A former member of the Bar Council, his guiding principles are professionalism and humanity.
Francis METZGER previously practiced at every stage of criminal proceedings: before trial (police custody, assisted witness hearings, questioning by an investigating judge, civil party hearings, reconstructions, line-ups, pre-trial detention, judicial supervision), during trial (Assize Court, Departmental Criminal Court, Criminal Court, Police Court), and after trial (sentence adjustments, victim support).
He also practiced in family law (divorce, inheritance, division of assets) as well as in matters of civil liberties (freedom of association, assembly, and expression, etc.).
He is fluent in French, German, and English.
